When it comes to protecting and preserving our environment, the one thing we always miss or “ignore” is plastic bags. There is a big question on this particular subject: how can we use these plastic bags in a responsible manner? This issue needs to addressed seriously because our environment deserves better treatment from us.

This is the presented fact, out of a new study, which indicates that Arctic temperatures suddenly increased during the last 50 years of the period from A.D. 1 to the year 2000.
A report by environmental group of WWF recently stated that because of the global warming in the Arctic, a quarter of the world’s population will be affected through flooding and amplify the wider impact of climate change.
This is not even good news for divers as we can see the implications it will bring us all – the global catastrophe is in the making – not more water to dive in. Many tropical island resorts will vanish forever. It is just a matter of time. (more…)

Divers and wastes… the litter factor?
Something caught my attention during my most recent trip to one of the shopping mall here in my hometown. I think this one is worth sharing and I hope to give you guys something to think about and may be to take action about it too.
What happened was, I bought a small bottle of drinking water to go with my lunch and carried around the half-empty bottle with me after that while doing some shopping. I finished the content of the bottle after a few minutes. My instinct told me to get that bottle refilled instead of buying a new one. I asked around and was lucky to find a refill shop. It cost me 30 cents for the refill. That’s 5 times cheaper than to buy a new bottle. That was against a single-use water
