When it comes to protecting and preserving our environment, the one thing we always miss or “ignore” is plastic bags. There is a big question on this particular subject: how can we use these plastic bags in a responsible manner? This issue needs to addressed seriously because our environment deserves better treatment from us.
Lets define it first: A plastic bag or pouch is a type of flexible packaging made of thin, flexible, plastics film. Plastic bags are used for containing and transporting goods such as foods, produce, powders, ice, chemicals and waste. Click here to continue reading

This is the presented fact, out of a new study, which indicates that Arctic temperatures suddenly increased during the last 50 years of the period from A.D. 1 to the year 2000.
A report by environmental group of WWF recently stated that because of the global warming in the Arctic, a quarter of the world’s population will be affected through flooding and amplify the wider impact of climate change.
This is not even good news for divers as we can see the implications it will bring us all – the global catastrophe is in the making – not more water to dive in. Many tropical island resorts will vanish forever. It is just a matter of time.

Welcome to the 4th series of articles discussing – answering – some of the most frequently ask questions about scuba diving. I have a collection of questions contributed by my non-diver friends through a mini survey that I did a few weeks ago.
Some of the friends of mine, who agreed to take part in the survey -questions submissions -, might have tried scuba diving before but most of them has never tried it. I am holding on to the information until proven otherwise. Lol.
I have come to learn, through many years of experience, that some doubts – associated directly or indirectly – are keeping many people away from participating in this fun and exciting world of scuba diving. Some of the questions, from the survey, are almost similar so I’ll be combining them in one. Pay special attention because most of the questions asked are health related questions. Let us see the next 6 FAQ on scuba diving: -
1. Do divers have any special nutrition/diet to keep the body in good conditions?
Divers are just normal people like you and me. Becoming a certified diver and to proceed with active participations – being a Divemaster or Instructor – for a few years will not change your nutrition or diet intake – not at all. We are still what we were before becoming a certified scuba diver. I guess it’s the same for the astronauts who go to the outer space and come back to earth. There are no special nutrition or diet rules for scuba divers.

Welcome to the 3rd series of article on “Scuba Diving Frequently Asked Questions”. So far we have covered 6 topics that were published in 2 separate posts: Part-1 and Part-2.
This time we are going to look at another 5 more FAQ questions. If you read the post just before this one, I have explained how and where I got all these questions from. So I am not making this up…
Lets dive right in and see the questions get solved before anyone gets too excited.
A cool fact: scuba diving is addictive. Remember, You’ve been warned!
Q#1: Does a person need to know how to swim before learning scuba diving?
Whether you are a physically normal or a diver with disability; you need to know how to swim while you are on scuba. You need to swim around, no matter the depth, in order for you to explore the underwater world. There is no other way. Well, unless you use an underwater Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV).

A few days ago I sent out a mini survey, a very simple straightforward survey, to 10 of my selected facebook friends and family members only. That was my first ever survey using facebook as the media. Just be cool if you (my friends & family) didn’t get the survey invite. Rest assured: there are going to be more future surveys, simple ones, just like this one, I’ll extend the invitations. One will be for you.
If you are reading this and YOU are not in my facebook friend list, then if YOU wish, you can add me as your friend on facebook.
The survey is based on the title mentioned above: questions about scuba diving. I did tell the recipients of the message to go ahead and ask whatever questions that has or have been playing on their mind all this time. It really doesn’t matter what kind of questions for as long as they are related to scuba diving and you have not met the right answer for it, JUST ask.
Of course, I can find many questions from the Internet or even through my years of experience and remodel them a little bit, here and there, and post them on my blog BUT that will NOT benefit, not entirely, the readers of this blog.

There are thousands of weblog (blog) entering the World Wide Web every day. People blog about anything and everything – about a particular product, services, hobbies, sports, events, animals, cars, ideas and so many more.
You, too, can start your own weblog. Choose a niche of a particular topic and write articles related to that niche and post them on the Internet. Thanks to the evolutions of digital media, the Internet, because now even a real newbie or a “not so computer literate” person can start a blog and share ideas with the rest of the world. Easily.
Blogging is not as complicated as you think it is. Of course there are certain things you need to learn before you can really blog away. There are 2 most important ingredients that you need to have prior to starting any blog.
1) You need a BLOG HOSTING provider
You need to have a blog foundation, a base, where you can leave and operate your blog from. There are a few types of blog hosting provider to choose from depending on what you want to do. Whether you want to blog just for the sake of blogging: you want to blog because you feel like it or you just want to share about something. Or you want to blog for profit: your aim here is to gain online revenue or income. Creating a blog to make profit, in one way or another is by far the most popular.
